Oregon Area Historical Society 30th Anniversary

Please join us Sunday, September 17th at 1:00pm at the Oregon Area Senior Center 219 Park St.

A pictorial history from the 1840's through the 1940's of the Oregon area's early settlers, schools, churches, businesses, community leaders, military tributes, agriculture, recreational activities and more. The book will be available for sale on September 17th.

Following the book release, we will move on to the Prairie Mound/St.Mary's cemetery for a historical biography of some of Oregon's citizens. Among them: Nathaniel Ames, Charles Netherwood, Mary & Charline Wackman, Steve Madsen, William Johnson and several others. Presenters will be dressed in the attire of the person they portray and speak in first-person style. A $5 donation to OAHS to help defray expenses would be greatly appreciated.
