DESCRIPTION:In April 2022\, the Village Board adopted a resolution endorsing a "No Mow May" initiative and instructed Public Works for the month of May to cease mowing of parks\, drainageways\, detention pond areas\, etc. The exception to this was that Public Works would mow playing fields like soccer fields and baseball/softball fields in the Village to allow sports teams to play.\n\n \n\nThe forum tonight is not necessarily an event where solutions are determined or policies recommended\, rather this is intended to serve as a community listening session. We encourage all input toward mowing practices in our Village as our Village Board members consider possible changes.
