Legal Basics and Best Practices in the Hiring Process
Free Human Resources Seminar
This seminar will explore the fundamental principles of the hiring process. Steve will address the legal standards applicable to the process and identify what he sees as common best practices utilized by employers. Areas of focus will include job descriptions, applications, interviewing, testing, and background checks.
This is seminar will be taught by Steve Zach, a partner at Boardman & Clark, LLP, one of Madison's largest law firms. He concentrates his practice in the area of labor and employment law and represents private businesses of all sizes, municipalities, and school districts throughout the state. A 1976 graduate of Oregon High School, Steve graduated from St. Norbert College (summa cum laude, 1980) and the University of Wisconsin Law School (cum laude, 1983).
