Re: Economic Impact on Businesses and Tax revenues in the Village of Oregon resulting from improvements in the apartment home development at the Legend at Bergamont Fiduciary Real Estate Development commissioned highly-respected NorthStar Research to evaluate the economic impact of their proposed apartment home development in the Legend at Bergamont community. NorthStar concludes that the project would create 188 new jobs in the area, generate an additional $13 million annually in consumer spending in the local and regional economy, and pay $375,000 a year in property taxes. There is a lot more interesting data in the report and Fiduciary is hosting a briefing for Oregon Chamber of Commerce members on the tax revenue increases, support for schools and local services, job growth, and business growth that will result from this project. NorthStar President, David Ward, will make the presentation and take questions between 4:30PM and 5PM at the Legend at Bergamont Clubhouse on Thursday, January 31, 2013. This information is relevant to all businesses in the area and we hope you will take time to attend.
